LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (February 10, 2025) – The Broadband Association of Arkansas, formerly known as Arkansas Cable Telecommunications Association, has changed its name to the Broadband Association of Arkansas.
“Some say the internet has been the most transformational tool invented in the last century. It is no secret that the members of our association have played an integral part in its development and deployment. We felt it is time that the name of our association should also reflect that fact. As broadband providers, we continue to shape the industry with technological advancements that help us provide faster and more reliable speeds to our customers, ” said Sohrab Shahandeh, Chairman of the Broadband Association of Arkansas.
Since 1948, cable providers have invested in American infrastructure, and the fiber-rich networks have made high-speed internet access a reality across the United States. The cable industry continues to offer broadband service to meet every need, from super-fast gigabit speed offerings to affordable monthly plans for low-income households.
Over the years, Arkansas leveraged state and federal funds to develop and implement solutions to provide broadband access to narrow the digital divide. As a result, Arkansas is now ahead of many of its peer states, according to the Arkansas State Broadband Office.
